I have always loved geology. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and an avid hiker, it seemed like a natural choice. After conducting undergraduate research under Dr. Claire Todd modeling glaciers on Mount Rainier, glaciology and numerical modeling became focuses for my career. Now my thesis work under Dr. Andrew Fountain focuses on modeling glaciers in the North Cascades, and I look forward to beginning to get results.
